Any maintenance and especially GMP maintenance is more than execution of actual maintenance. Maintenance involves starting with risk assessment and criticality assessments, while simultaneously working with original equipment manufacturer to determine recommended range of frequencies of execution, of different types of maintenance activities. The recommended range of frequencies, then need to be evaluated with the application of the equipment which ultimately leads to determination of the applicable maintenance items and their frequencies.
